Linkin Park shines a new look, new album, new single on iTunes

For the first time in four years, Linkin Park is getting ready to drop a new full length album. Called “Minutes to Midnight,” the sound is not quite what old fans, or few time listeners would expect. I would say that LP has evolved in the last few years… Those who were once young angst-filled fans connecting with a band that knew what they were going through will now have a band that tackles a few more “grown-up” problems. Or at least that’s what this diehard LP biased “I don’t care I like it no matter what” fan has to say….While the first single for the Album, called “What I’ve Done” may not come out to CD till the end of April, it was released today along with the music video on iTunes.
Naturally, I bought both and pre-ordered the album (if you pre-order, you get two bonus tracks exclusive to iTunes)…
The song is powerful, and Chester carries it the whole way (Mike Shinoda “Na Na’s” at the end)… and the video, directed by resident DJ, Mr Hahn, sheds a little light on what hypocrisies we wear every day.

In this farewell,
There is no blood,
There is no alibi,
Cause I’ve drawn regret,
From the truth,
Of a thousands lies,
So let mercy come and wash away…What I’ve Done,
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become,
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done…

Put to rest,
What you thought of me
While, I clean this slate,
With the hands,
Of uncertainty,
So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done,
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become,
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done…

For what I’ve done,
I start again,
And whatever pain may come,
Today this ends,
I’m forgiving what I’ve done…

I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become,
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done…

(Na,Na,Na)

What I’ve Done,

What I’ve Done,

Forgiving what I’ve done…
